Abstract
This Regulation, as for the meanings of the Serbian Environmental Protection Law, and based on the provisions of the Regulation on contents and manner for managing the environmental information system, methodology, structure, common bases, categories and levels of data collection, as well as on the content of information about which the public is regularly and obligatorily informed, provides for the National List of Environmental Indicators, given in the Annex of this text.
The national list of indicators contains a general description of indicators and indicators of thematic units classified into thematic areas. The general description of the indicator includes: 1) importance at the national and international level; 2) relevance for reporting using the given indicator; 3) measurability and statistical correctness of indicators; 4) simplicity and ease of understanding; 5) economic justification. The structure of data in the National List of Indicators is divided according to categories into thematic units, as follows: 1) air and climate change; 2) water; 3) nature and biological diversity; 4) land; 5) waste; 6) noise; 7) non-ionizing radiation; 8) forestry, hunting and fishing; 9) sustainable use of natural resources; 10) economic and social potentials and activities of importance for the environment; 11) international and national legislation, as well as measures (strategies, plans, programmes, agreements), reports and other documents and activities in the field of environmental protection; 12) subjects of the environmental protection system.
