Strategy of deinstitutionalization and development of social protection services in the community for the period 2022-2026.

Based on the provisions of the Law on planning system of the Republic of Serbia, this Strategy of deinstitutionalization and development of social protection services in the community for the period from the year 2022-2026. The strategy of deinstitutionalization and development of social protection services in the community in the social protection system is a coordinated system of measures, conditions and instruments of public policy that the Republic of Serbia should implement in order to prevent institutionalization, i.e. reduce the number of citizens who use home care services accommodation. The strategy should enable the development of social protection services in the community, which will contribute to users of the social protection system who need more intensive support meeting most of their needs in a natural environment. It is primarily aimed at people with intellectual and mental disabilities who are exposed to greatest risk of institutionalization and social exclusion.
