Abstract
The scope of this Agreement shall be to assist enterprises and organizations of the mining and metallurgical industry of the CIS member states in the formation of mutually beneficial cooperative ties aimed at improving economic efficiency, technological and innovative renewal, resource and energy conservation and environmental safety of the industry. The Parties shall cooperate in the following fields: (a) determination of priorities in mining and metallurgical sector; (b) joint programs and projects; (c) professional training of staff; and (d) scientific research.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement shall enter into force upon the expiry of 30 days from the date of receipt by the depositary of the third notification of the fulfillment by the signatories of the domestic procedures necessary for its entry into force.
Notes
This Agreement shall be open-ended. Each of the Parties has the right to withdraw from this Agreement by sending written notification of such intention to the depositary not later than 6 months before the withdrawal and settling the obligations that have arisen during the period of validity of this agreement.
