Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Turkmenistan on cooperation in the sphere of fuel and energy sector.

The Parties have agreed to promote long-term cooperation in the fields of prospecting, exploration drilling, mining and oil field and gas-field construction, operation of gas and oil pipelines, transit and export of oil and natural gas (art. 3). The Parties shall cooperate in the field of exploration and mining of the mineral resources of the bottom of the Caspian sea that is the object of common utilization by the coastal Caspian states (art. 4). The Parties shall promote cooperation in the field of oil processing (art. 6).
