Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on cooperation in the sphere of utilization of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

The Parties have agreed to develop, promote and strengthen cooperation in the sphere of utilization of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in accordance with the needs and priorities of their national nuclear programs. The Parties shall cooperate in the following fields: (a) projecting, construction and operation of energy generating and research reactors; (b) prospecting, exploration and mining of uranium and thorium; (c) regulation in the sphere of ensuring nuclear and radiation safety; (d) training of personnel at nuclear plants; (e) elaboration and projecting of innovative reactor technologies in conformity with international nuclear safety standards set forth by IAEA; and (f) manufacturing and utilization of radionuclides in industry and agriculture.
