Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of United Arab Emirates on cooperation in the sphere of utilization of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

The Parties have agreed to promote and strengthen cooperation in the sphere of utilization of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in accordance with the national priorities and programs. The Parties shall cooperate in the following fields: (a) fundamental and applied research; (b) supply of nuclear fuel for energy production and research purposes and return of irradiated nuclear fuel of the Russian origin; (c) exploration and mining of uranium; (d) projecting, construction and putting in operation of energy and research reactors and water desalination systems; (d) regulation of nuclear and radiation safety and protection of radiation risks; (e) use of radionuclides in industry and agriculture; (f) training of specialists; and (g) development of the infrastructure of nuclear energy complex.
