Abstract
To the purpose of this Agreement territorial entities shall be considered regions (subjects) of the Russian Federation and administrative-territorial units of the Republic of Tajikistan. The Parties pledge to promote cooperation in the sphere of energy and agro-industrial complex. The Parties shall cooperate in the following spheres: (a) implementation of the territorial development strategy; (b) implementation of the regional policy; and (c) promotion of contracts between territorial entities of the Parties and stepping-up of cooperation between them.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of receipt of the written notification of the fulfillment by the Parties of the domestic procedures necessary for its entry into force.
Notes
This Agreement is concluded for a period of 5 years. The validity of this Agreement is automatically extended for subsequent 5-year periods if one of the Parties does not notify the other Party of its intention to terminate it in writing through diplomatic channels no later than six months before the expiry of the initial or any other subsequent period.
