Abstract
The Parties shall develop cooperation in the field of the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in accordance with the needs and priorities of the national nuclear programs of the Parties. Cooperation is carried out in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement and the laws of each of the Parties. The Parties shall cooperate in the following areas: (a) assistance in creation and improvement of the infrastructure of nuclear energy sector in the Republic of Zambia; (b) projecting and construction of energy and research nuclear reactors; (c) exploration and mining of uranium deposits in the Republic of Zambia; (d) servicing of nuclear fuel cycle and supply of nuclear fuel to the Republic of Zambia; (e) implementation of fundamental and applied research in the field of the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes; (f) handling of radioactive waste; (g) ensuring nuclear and radiation safety, responding to emergencies; (h) regulation of nuclear and radiation safety, supervision of physical protection of nuclear facilities; (i) production of radioisotopes and their application in industry, medicine, agriculture, protection and exploration of environment; and (k) training of specialists in the field of nuclear energy.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of receipt of the last written notification of the fulfillment by the Parties of the domestic procedures necessary for its entry into force.
Notes
This Agreement is concluded for a period of 10 years. The validity of this Agreement is automatically extended for subsequent five-year periods if one of the Parties does not notify the other Party of its intention to terminate it in writing through diplomatic channels no later than six months before the expiry of the initial or any other subsequent period.
