Abstract
The Parties carry out cooperation in the field of electric power industry in accordance with the legislation of their states and are guided by the following basic principles: (a) unimpeded supply of electricity to international markets, taking into account the provisions of international treaties to which the States of the Parties are signatories; (b) energy security for all consumers and electricity suppliers; (c) promotion and protection of investments, including the new investments in all parts of the electricity supply chain; (d) encouraging mutual exchange of assets of the electric power business in the framework of investment activities; (e) promotion of mutual exchange of electric power technologies and scientific and technical cooperation in the electric power industry; (d) technological reliability of all elements of the electric power infrastructure; (e) physical security of the vital electric power infrastructure; and (f) assistance in the implementation of infrastructure projects that are important for ensuring global and regional energy security.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement enters into force on the date of signature.
Notes
This Agreement is concluded for a period of 5 years. The validity of this Agreement is automatically extended for subsequent 5-year periods if one of the Parties does not notify the other Party of its intention to terminate it in writing through diplomatic channels no later than 6 months before the expiry of the corresponding 5-year period.
