Abstract
The Parties shall develop cooperation in the field of the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in accordance with the needs and priorities of their national nuclear programs, the legislation of each of the states of the Parties and on the basis of this Agreement. The Parties shall cooperate in the field of the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes in the following areas: (a) fundamental and applied research; (b) staff training; (c) safety of nuclear installations and radiation sources; (d) development, design, construction, operation and decommissioning of research reactors and nuclear power plants; (e) industrial production of components and materials for use in nuclear reactors; (f) development and joint operation of uranium deposits; (g) provision of services in the nuclear fuel cycle; (h) production of radioisotopes and their use in industry, medicine and agriculture; (j) regulation and ensuring of nuclear and radiation safety, assessment of the radiation impact of nuclear energy on the environment; (k) development of nuclear energy infrastructure; (l) development of the regulatory and legal framework in the field of the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; and (m) controlled thermonuclear fusion.
