Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Cuba on cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.

This Agreement establishes the legal and organizational basis for the formation and development of cooperation programs between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Cuba in the exploration and use of outer space and the practical application of space equipment and space technologies for peaceful purposes. Cooperation shall be carried out in the following areas: (a) space geodesy and meteorology; (b) distant zoning of the Earth; (c) satellite navigation; (d) space research; and (e) space biology and medicine. Cooperation shall be carried out in the following forms: (a) joint scientific and experimental programs; (b) exchange of scientific and technical information; (c) exchange of scientists; and (d) joint symposia and seminars.
