Abstract
The Parties shall develop scientific and technical cooperation in the field of monitoring and responding to emergency situations of a sanitary and epidemiological nature, ensuring epidemiological well-being of particularly dangerous infections and other natural focal and zoonotic infectious diseases in accordance with the legislation of the States of the Parties and international treaties to which the States of the Parties are parties. The Parties provide each other with organizational and methodological support in the implementation of joint activities in the following areas: (a) creation on a functional basis of a joint Russian-Tajik research center for epidemiology and prevention of infectious diseases; (b) implementation of scientific cooperation, joint research work, publication of joint scientific articles, preparation of joint collective monographs; (c) organization of joint expeditionary work to study the spread of pathogens of particularly dangerous infections and other natural focal and zoonotic infectious diseases on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan; (d) development of uniform methodological approaches in the field of epidemiological surveillance of especially dangerous, natural focal, zoonotic infectious diseases; (e) development and strengthening of a uniform system for monitoring and responding to public health emergencies of a sanitary and epidemiological nature in the Commonwealth of Independent States; (f) implementation of geographic information technologies (GIT) on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan for surveillance of infectious diseases relevant to the Republic of Tajikistan; (g) collection of samples of clinical and zoological material for further joint research; and (h) organizing a joint study of strains of pathogens of current infectious diseases using fragmentary and whole-genome sequencing, as well as other modern methods.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement enters into force on the date of receipt of the last written notification of the Parties' compliance with domestic procedures necessary for its entry into force and is valid for unlimited period.
Notes
Each Party may terminate this Agreement by sending to the other Party through diplomatic channels a written notification of this at least 6 months before the expected date of the termination of this Agreement.
