Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the sphere of electric energy.

The Parties have agreed to promote and intensify mutually beneficial economic, scientific and technical cooperation in the sphere of electric energy (art. 1). The Parties shall ensure identity of their legislation in the sphere of electric energy (art. 3). Economic entities of the Parties shall maintain parallel functioning of energy systems, electric-power transmission and transit in conformity with the concluded contracts (art. 4). The Parties shall coordinate national programs of prospective electric energy development (art. 6).
