Federal Law No. 143-FZ amending Forest Code (No. 200 – FZ).

Article 8 shall be supplemented with issue 8 as follows: “Persons that were allotted plots of forest shall not have the right to impede citizens’ access to such plots or to prohibit the harvest or gathering of edible or non-timber resources, except as contemplated under the present Article. Plots of land allotted to legal and natural persons may be fenced exclusively in cases contemplated under the Forest Code.” Part 3 of article 109 shall be amended to add: “Timber extraction shall not be authorized in forest reserves except where classified as a merchantable or protected forest, provided, however, that timber may be extracted for geological exploration or by citizens for their personal fuel needs.”
