Federal Law No. 333-FZ amending Federal Law No. 166-FZ on fisheries and conservation of aquatic biological resources.

Item 9 of the Article 1 shall acquire a new wording: “Fisheries shall be charged except for cases envisaged by the Federal Laws.” Article 12 shall acquire a new wording: “Fishing rights can be restricted in accordance with Federal Laws and international agreements concluded by the Russian Federation.” Paragraph 1 of the Article 15 shall acquire a new wording: “The list of aquatic biological resources subject to fishing shall be validated by the authorized federal fisheries institution.” Article 16 shall be supplemented with item 4 of the following wording: “Fisheries as entrepreneurial activity shall be prohibited to foreign legal and natural persons from fishing vessels owned by foreigners if not otherwise envisaged by the present Federal Law and other Federal Laws.” Item 3 of the Article 21 shall acquire a new wording: “Catch (harvest) of aquatic biological resources for scientific research and control purposes shall be carried out within the quotas set for such purposes in accordance with state monitoring of aquatic biodiversity.” Item 1 of the Article 24 shall acquire a new wording: “Citizens shall be granted the right to carry out artisanal and sport fisheries without any authorization and free of charge in the waterbodies of common use if it is not otherwise envisaged by the present Federal Law. Restrictions on artisanal and sport fisheries can be imposed in accordance with the Article 26 of the present Federal Law.”
