Federal Law No. 40-FZ amending Federal Law No. 82-FZ on ensuring traditional rights of sparsely distributed indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation.

Article 3 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The Government of the Russian Federation for the purpose of protecting primordial living environment, traditional way of life and traditional community wildlife management of sparsely distributed peoples of the Russian federation shall validate: (a) list of residential areas of sparsely distributed peoples upon recommendation of regional authority in place of living of sparsely distributed peoples; and (b) list of traditional economic activities of sparsely distributed indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation”.
