Federal Law No. 488-FZ amending Articles 26 and 67.1 of Water Code (No. 74-FZ).

Implementation of measures to prevent negative impact of water and of its effects on waterbodies pertaining to federal property and completely located within the boundaries of constituent entities of the Russian Federation shall be applicable also to internal sea (art. 26). In order to prevent the negative impact of water on certain territories and facilities and to eliminate its consequences, measures shall be taken in accordance with this Code, engineering protection of territories and facilities from flooding, underflooding, destruction of the banks of water bodies, swamping and other negative impact of water, including flood control measures, measures to increase the flow capacity of river.
