Federal Law No. 584-FZ amending Law No. 4979-I on veterinary medicine.

Article 14 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Upon receipt of information about the occurrence of contagious animal diseases on the territories of foreign states bordering the Russian Federation on land, the federal executive body in the field of veterinary supervision at checkpoints across the State Border of the Russian Federation organizes, with the involvement of organizations subordinate to it, measures to prevent the introduction of contagious animal diseases by treating the surface of vehicles entering the territory of the Russian Federation from the territories of these states with disinfectants. The list of contagious animal diseases that have arisen on the territories of foreign states bordering the Russian Federation on land, at which vehicles are disinfected at checkpoints across the State Border of the Russian Federation, is approved by the federal executive body in the field of legal regulation in veterinary medicine. Disinfection of vehicles is carried out free of charge in accordance with the procedure approved by the federal executive body in the field of veterinary supervision, establishing the methods, place, timing of disinfection of vehicles and the procedure for obtaining information on the occurrence and elimination of contagious animal diseases in the territories of foreign states bordering Russian Federation on land."
