Federal Law No. 676-FZ amending Forest Code (No. 200 – FZ) and Federal Law No. 201-FZ implementing the Forest Code.

Article 43 (1) Forest Code (No. 200 – FZ) establishes that the use of forests for exploration activities shall be carried out with or without allotment of forest areas, with or without the establishment of an servitude, public servitude. Article 8 (2) of the Federal Law No. 201-FZ implementing the Forest Code establishes that in valuable forests, in forests located in water protection zones, in reserve forests and in protected areas allotted to subsoil users for the purpose of extraction of groundwater and (or) related to geological study, exploration and extraction of oil and natural gas, associated waters, minerals and (or) useful components for which licenses are granted with the period of validity December 31, 2030, for a period not exceeding the validity period of such licenses.”
