Federal Law No. 96-FZ amending Water Code (No. 74-FZ).

Article 50 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Article 50. Use of water bodies for recreational purposes. 1. The use of waterbodies for recreational purposes (providing services in the field of tourism, physical culture and sports, organizing recreation and promoting the healthcare of citizens, including organizing children’s recreation and their healthcare) is carried out in accordance with this Code and other federal laws, taking into account the rules for the use of waterbodies established by local government bodies in accordance with Article 6 of this Code. 2. Use of the water area of waterbodies necessary for the exploitation of beaches by the rights holders of land plots that are in state or municipal ownership and located within the boundaries of the coastal strip of a public waterbody, as well as for recreational purposes by physical education and sports organizations, organizations for children’s recreation and their healthcare, and tour operators or travel agents operating in accordance with federal laws, organized recreation for veterans, elderly citizens, and disabled people is carried out on the basis of a water use agreement concluded without an auction”.
