Abstract
The present Federal Law establishes legal, economic and organizational basis in the field of gas supplies in the Russian Federation and is aimed at ensuring meeting state demand in strategic energetic resources. The document consists X Sections that contain 35 Articles. Section I (arts. 1-3) lays down general provisions. Section II (Arts.4-9) regards the basis of state regulation of gas supplies in the Russian Federation. Section III (Arts. 10-12) regards the particulars of the use of gas deposits. Section IV (Arts. 13-15) lays down legal grounds for the functioning and development of common system of gas supplies. Section V (Arts. 16-19) lays down legal grounds for the development of common gas market on the territory of the Russian Federation. Section VI (Arts. 20-25) lays down grounds of economic relations in the sphere of gas supplies. Section VII (Arts. 26-27) regards anti-monopoly regulation of gas supplies. Section VIII (Arts. 28-29) regards legal basis of inter-relations between the organizations – owners of the systems of gas supplies and organizations of other branches of national economy. Section IX (Arts. 30-34) lays down legal basis of industrial safety of the systems of gas supply in the Russian Federation. Section X (art. 35) lays down general provisions.
