Abstract
This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of the distribution of quotas for the following types of fisheries: (a) scientific research and control; (b) fish faming, stock enhancement and acclimatization; and (c) education and training. It shall not be applicable to the Pacific salmon species. Natural and legal persons must submit the application to the Federal Fisheries Agency for fish farming, stock enhancement, and acclimatization, educational and training quotas by 1 May and for scientific research quotas by 1 July. The application must contain the following documentation: (a) tax inspection certificate attesting the absence of arrears; (b) documentation attesting availability of the fishing vessels (for scientific research quotas) and fish farming enterprises (for fish farming, stock enhancement and acclimatization quotas); and (c) projects requiring quota allocation. After examination of the application the Federal Fisheries Agency shall distribute quotas among the applicants 10 days after the validation of the total allowable catch.
