Abstract
This Decree validates the Statute of the Ministry of Agriculture (MINSELHOZ ROSSII). It establishes that the Ministry of Agriculture is the Federal Authority that is entitled to conduct the state policy and management in the field of agro-industrial complex and provides for the food supply for the country's needs. In its activity the Ministry of Agriculture is guided by the Constitution, Federal Constitutional Laws, Federal Laws, Decrees and Orders of the President, Ministerial decrees and Orders and by this Statute. The Ministry of Agriculture performs its activity in accordance with other Federal Authorities, Regional Authorities, Local Administration and Non-Governmental Entities. The Ministry of Agriculture and its local (territorial/basin) branches are specially authorized state executives in the following fields: a) land reclamation; b) protection, control, repopulation of wildlife biodiversity classified as hunting species and their habitat; c) protection, control, repopulation of aquatic animals as regards control over fishstock. Ministry of Agriculture is specially authorized state executive in the sphere of: 1)stockbreeding; 2)seed and planting material; 3) agricultural land fertility; 4) control, management, use and disposal of pesticides, post-registration surveillance and monitoring of pesticides and agro-chemical substances (with the Ministry of Health); 5) use, protection and reforestation of agroforestry.
