Order No. 175 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating the Statute of the federal state budgetary institution “Russian Agricultural Center.”

The purpose and subject of the activities of the federal state budgetary institution “Russian Agricultural Center” shall be provision of public services in the field of crop production (including plant protection and seed production). “Russian Agricultural Center” shall perform the following activities: (a) determining the sowing qualities of seeds and examining them for the presence of pests and pathogens; (b) information support within the framework of the state agricultural policy; (c) determination of varietal qualities of seeds; (d) research in agricultural seed production; (e) study of the phytosanitary situation on the territory of the Russian Federation; (f) provision of consulting services in the field of crop production; (g) participation in the development of regulatory legal acts, federal and regional target programs in the field of crop production and implementation thereof; (h) provision of information services in the field of crop production; (i) collection, processing, analysis and generalization of statistical information and data, information and analytical materials, monitoring, maintenance of unified database, preparation of information directories; and (j) measures to prevent and destroy pests for the prevention and control of plant diseases in order to prevent emergencies caused by local natural and other phenomena.
