Order No. 257 of the Ministry of Natural Resources regarding the redesignation of water basin institutions.

The purpose of this Order is to improve the structure of management and conservation of public water. This Order decrees to redesignate the Moskva and Oka water and waterworks institution as the Moskva and Oka water institution with the status of inter-regional territorial branch of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation and to abstract from it the Desna dam management department, chemical research basin laboratory, transport unit and informational and analytical division. All these abstracted units are to be conformed together for the setting up of the Federal Department of water and waterworks "TSENTRREGIONVODHOZ".
