Order No. 4 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating the Regulation on acclimatization of aquatic biological resources.

This Order regulates acclimatization arrangements and transfer of aquatic biological resources into fishing waterbodies carried out by natural and legal persons. Acclimatization of new fauna species shall be carried out exclusively by the authorization of the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service. Biological substantiation shall be elaborated prior to carrying out the acclimatization arrangements. Biological substantiation shall be elaborated in accordance with the following scheme: (a) advisability of the acclimatization; (b) characteristics and properties of species proposed for acclimatization; (c) estimated capacity of the waterbody; (d) estimated catch; and (e) recommendations for the biotechnology techniques in relation to the acclimatization of aquatic biological resources.
