Order No. 437 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food validating the Regulation on fisheries for the purpose of aquaculture (fishfarming).

This Order validates the Regulation on fisheries for the purpose of aquaculture (fishfarming) in the inland waters of the Russian Federation, including territorial sea, continental shelf and EEZ of the Russian Federation. It shall not be applicable to rare and endangered aquatic biological resources. Harvest (catch) of aquatic biological resources by legal persons and individual fishery entrepreneurs shall be authorized in the amount required to ensure conservation of aquatic biological resources and operation of fishfarming enterprises. Fishing authorization for fisheries for the purpose of aquaculture (fishfarming) shall be issued by the Federal Fishery Agency. Fisheries for aquaculture (fishfarming) shall be performed in relation to aquatic biological resources, including species that have reached propagation maturity, eggs, larvae, settled larvae of benthic invertebrates, sporophyte algae, small fry. The aforesaid fisheries shall be performed within the limits of established quota.
