Order No. 487 of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology validating the Regulation on forest management for scientific research and educational purposes.

This Order regulates relations originating in the process of forest management for scientific research and educational activities. Forest management for scientific research purposes envisages performance of experimental or theoretical research activities aimed at obtaining new knowledge on ecological system of forests, conducting applied scientific research, aimed at applying this knowledge to achieve practical goals and solving specific tasks in the field of use, guardianship, protection and reforestation. Forest management for educational purposes envisages creation and use of test grounds in forest areas, pilot sites for studying the nature of the forest, training in forest inventory methods, timber extraction technologies, works on protection, afforestation and reforestation, and other arrangements in the field of study, use, protection, reproduction of forests, other components of forest ecosystems, objects of the necessary forest infrastructure to be put into practice by the trainees studying special knowledge and skills.
