Order No. 56 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating the Regulation on fisheries for cultural and educational purposes.

This Order establishes the modalities of fishing activities by citizens and legal persons in inland waters, including internal seas, territorial seas, the continental shelf and the EEZ of the Russian Federation and in the Caspian Sea and the Sea of Azov. Fishing activities for cultural and educational purposes shall be carried out within established quotas and in accordance with fishing authorizations in conformity with fishing regulations applicable to a given fishing waterbody and scientific, cultural and educational programmes. Catches shall be used for scientific collections and as visual aids. Within one month of completing its fishing activity the user shall inform the Federal Fisheries Agency and the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision Service of the amount of the catch, the description of species in both Russian and Latin names, and of the fishing area, vessels, gear and methods.
