Order No. 847 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating the Veterinary Rules for the implementation of preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, restrictive and other measures, the establishment and lifting of quarantine and other restrictions aimed at preventing the spread and eliminating foci of leptospirosis.

These Veterinary Rules establish mandatory fulfillment of the requirement for the implementation of preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, restrictive and other measures, application and cancellation of quarantine on the territory of the Russian Federation and other restrictions aimed at preventing the spread and elimination of foci of leptospirosis. The Rules establish mandatory requirements for the organization and implementation of measures to eliminate leptospirosis, prevent its occurrence and spread on the territory of the Russian Federation, determine the boundaries of the territory to which the regime of restrictive measures and (or) quarantine should apply, including in terms of determining the source of the disease in animals, implementation of epizootic zoning, including determination of types of zones in order to differentiate restrictions established by the decision to introduce a regime of restrictive measures and (or) quarantine, restrictions on the production, movement, storage and trade of goods subject to veterinary control (supervision), and requirements for the specifics of the application of such restrictions , including carrying out measures in relation to production facilities located in the quarantine zone and disinfection thereof. Cancellation of quarantine in farms is carried out after death, and (or) slaughter, and (or) recovery of the last sick animal in the process of obtaining laboratory test results for susceptible animals that are not the basis for diagnosis for leptospirosis.
