Presidential Decree No. 547 “On reducing greenhouse gas emissions”.

The Government of the Russian Federation shall ensure by 2035 a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions to 65-67 percent relative to 1990 levels, taking into account the maximum possible absorption capacity of forests and other natural ecosystems, and subject to the sustainable and balanced socioeconomic development of the Russian Federation, and its non-discriminatory access to equipment and technologies necessary to reduce (prevent) greenhouse gas emissions and/or increase their absorption.
