Regional Law No. 120-ZRT “On regulation of some issues of treatment of animals”.

This Regional Law regulates relations arising in connection with the granting to local government of municipal areas of certain state powers to organize activities in the field of handling and treatment of ownerless animals. Regional executive body in the field of handling and treatment of animals shall be vested with the following state powers: (a) notification (voluntary) registration of dogs; (b) validation of the list of additional data on animals, for which the owners refused the right of ownership, transferred to shelters, and the procedure for web publication of such data; (c) processing of request for submitted by individual entrepreneurs and legal persons, performing capture of ownerless animals, of the video related to capture, and processing of request for submittal by individual entrepreneurs and legal persona performing return of ownerless animals to their former habitats of video related to the process of ownerless animals; (d) processing of request for submittal by individual entrepreneurs and legal persons, performing capture of ownerless animals, of data related to capture and the number of captured animals; and (e) implementation of other powers in accordance with federal and regional legislation.
