Abstract
This Regional Law delimits the powers of the bodies of state authorities of the Leningrad Region and regulates certain relations in the field of organization, protection and use of the regional protected areas. Regional Government shall have the following powers in the field of organization, protection and use of the regional protected areas: (a) adoption within its competence of normative legal acts; (b) making decisions on reserving land in cases related to the creation of protected natural areas of regional significance; (c) making decisions on the creation of natural parks, state natural reserves of regional significance, dendrological parks and botanical gardens of regional significance, approval of the boundaries of the indicated protected natural areas and regulations related thereto; (d) making decisions on the declaration of natural objects and complexes monuments of nature of regional significance, and the territories occupied by them - protected areas of regional significance, approval of boundaries and certificates of the indicated protected areas of regional significance; (e) making decisions on the establishment (change) of the regime of special protection of natural parks, state nature reserves of regional significance, dendrological parks and botanical gardens of regional significance, natural monuments of regional significance; (f) establishment of the procedure for the protection of territories of natural parks, state nature reserves of regional significance and other protected areas of regional significance; (g) approval of the regulation on regional state control (supervision) in the field of protection and use of protected areas of regional significance; (h) approval of state programs of the Leningrad region in the field of organization, protection and use of protected areas of regional significance; and (i) setting the amount of fees for natural persons visiting protected areas of regional significance.
