Regional Law No. 1577-VI “On regulation of some issues in the field of apiculture development”.

This Regional Law regulates certain issues in the field of apiculture development in the Republic of Buryatia. Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Buryatia in the field of apiculture development shall have the following powers: (a) adoption of laws of the Republic of Buryatia regulating relations in sphere of apiculture development; (b) control over the implementation of the regional legislation, regulating relations in the field of apiculture development; and (c) other powers envisaged by regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation and regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Buryatia. Regional Government shall have the following powers in the field of apiculture development: (a) implementation of a unified state policy in the field of apiculture development; (b) adoption of normative legal acts within its powers; (c) approval of regional state programs, containing activities aimed at apiculture development; (d) determination of the authorized regional executive bodies in the field of apiculture development; (e) establishment of the procedure for registration and keeping of veterinary and sanitary apiary certificates; and (f) other powers envisaged by regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation and regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Buryatia. In order to develop apiculture in the Republic of Buryatia, regional state authorities, local self-government implement measures of legal, economic and organizational nature in the following fields: (a) information support for the activities of apiculture product manufacturers; (b) assistance in the creation of marketing (trade), processing, servicing, consumer and other agricultural cooperatives; and (c) promotion of apiculture development through creation of favorable organizational, legal, environmental and other production conditions, including the provision of scientific and technical developments and technologies.
