Regional Law No. 237-ZO “On municipal land control”.

Municipal land control shall be intended activity of local government over compliance of state bodies, municipalities, legal persons, individual entrepreneurs and natural persons of the land-related provisions of the federal and regional legislation envisaging administrative and other liability for the infringement thereof. The main tasks of municipal land control shall be as follows: (a) prevention (prophylaxis), detection and suppression of the violations of mandatory requirements; (b) interaction with state land supervision with a view of bringing to responsibility of persons guilty of violation of land legislation; (c) supervision over elimination of detected infringements; (d) formation of reliable information on land use on the territory of municipalities for the purpose of cadastre valuation; and (e) detection of unauthorized construction and abandoned immovable property located on municipal land plots.
