Abstract
This Regional Law regulates powers of regional executive bodies on some issues in the field of water relations. Regional Government shall have the following powers: (a) ownership, management, use and disposal of public waterbodies; (b) establishment of water charges for the use of public waterbodies; (c) validation of regional state programs on management and conservation of waterbodies; (d) validation of rules for navigation of small-size vessels; and (e) validation of life-saving rules on waterbodies. Authorized regional executive body in the field of water relations shall have the following powers: (a) participation in the activities of basin institutions; (b) elaboration and implementation of state programs and specific departmental programs for management and conservation of waterbodies; (c) reservation of potable water supply and domestic water supply sources; (d) regional supervision over management and protection of waterbodies; (e) state monitoring of waterbodies; (f) elaboration of regulations for life-saving in waterbodies; (g) elaboration of regulations for navigation of small-size vessels in waterbodies; and (h) protection of waterbodies against negative impact and mitigation of the consequences thereof.
