Regional Law No. 33-oz amending Regional Law No. 156-oz “On apiculture.”

The scope of this Regional Law is to ensure the quality and safety of beekeeping products carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and acts constituting the legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union. In order to prevent the negative impact of pesticides on bees, activities are carried out aimed at preserving bees in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals. Natural persons and legal entities engaged in beekeeping, and population of settlements located at a distance of 7 kilometers from the boundaries of land and land plots on which planned use of pesticides, shall be informed in advance about use of pesticides. Information on the use of pesticides should contain the following data: (a) names of pesticides planned for use; (b) cadastral number, address or location of the land plot, where pesticides are planned to be used; (c) date of application of pesticides; (d) method and dosage of pesticides; and (e) recommended periods of isolation of bees in hives.
