Regional Law No. 409 “On development of horticulture and vegetable gardening”.

This Regional Law, proceeding from particular social significance of gardening and horticulture, with a view of creating favorable conditions for the development of gardening and horticulture, defines main goals and objectives of the development of horticulture and gardening in the region, establishes powers of the regional state authorities and local government bodies of the municipalities in the field of gardening and horticulture and sets legal grounds for support by state bodies of horticulture and gardening. The main objectives of the development of horticulture and gardening in the region shall be as follows: (a) increase in the number of citizens engaged in horticulture and gardening; (b) development of self-employment of the population in the region through incentives for horticulture or gardening; (c) promotion of cultivation by citizens in orchards or vegetable gardens of agricultural crops; (d) improving the efficiency of use land plots allotted for orchards and vegetable gardens; and (e) promotion of horticultural and gardening non-profit associations by protection, infrastructure development, transport support accessibility and fire safety on areas allotted for horticulture and gardening.
