Regional Law No. 526-OZ “On ensuring fertility of agricultural land.”

This Regional Law regulates relations in the field of ensuring fertility of agricultural land and establishes powers of regional state bodies in the field of ensuring fertility of agricultural land. The main directions of ensuring fertility of agricultural land shall be as follows: (a) participation in the implementation of state programs of the Russian Federation for ensuring fertility of agricultural land; (b) development and implementation of regional state programs containing measures for fertility of agricultural land, envisaging state support of ensuring fertility of agricultural land; (c) state regulation of fertility of agricultural land; (d) performance of agrotechnical, agrochemical, land reclamation, phytosanitary and anti-erosion measures in order to ensure fertility of agricultural land; and (e) other directions established by the Federal Law. Possessors, owners, users, including tenants, of land plots shall have the right to perform agrotechnical, agrochemical, land reclamation, phytosanitary and anti-erosion reproductive measures for restoration of agricultural land fertility; receive information from executive bodies of the regional authorities in accordance with the established procedure related to the state of soil fertility on their land and the dynamics of its condition.
