Regional Law No. 745-OZ “On regulation of some issues related to apiculture.”

This Regional Law regulates the issues of apiculture. The main directions of the regional policy in the development of apiculture shall be as follows: (a) stimulating the development of beekeeping in the region, increasing the number of physical and legal persons involved in apiculture; (b) preservation and multiplication of honey yielding wild plants that are sources of apiculture; (c) education of careful attitude to bees, protection of bees; and (d) other areas in accordance with the federal legislation. Financial support of apiculture in the form subsidies shall be allocated from the regional budget. The placement of stationary apiaries by natural and legal persons involved in apiculture on land plots belonging to them by right of ownership or other rights, envisaged by the Russian Federation, as well as on land of forest fund shall be performed in accordance with the Russian forest and land legislation in conformity with veterinary regulations. In order to ensure productive keeping of bee families and effective pollination of agricultural entomophilous plants natural and legal persons involved in apiculture have the right to place non-stationary (nomadic) apiaries near honey collection sources. The placement of non-stationary apiaries shall be performed in accordance with the Russian forest and land legislation in conformity with veterinary regulations. The owner of an apiary shall be issued veterinary and sanitary certificate. The issuance of veterinary and sanitary certificate shall be performed at the location of the apiary.
