Regional Law No. 90-z amending Regional Law “On apiculture”.

This Regional Law establishes that in order to prevent the negative effects of pesticides on bees, arrangements shall be carried out with a view of preserving bees. Natural persons and legal entities engaged in beekeeping, and population of settlements located at a distance of 7 kilometers from the boundaries of land and land plots on which planned use of pesticides, shall be informed in advance about use of pesticides. Information on the use of pesticides should contain the following data: (a) names of pesticides planned for use; (b) cadastral number, address or location of the land plot, where pesticides are planned to be used; (c) date of application of pesticides; (d) method and dosage of pesticides; and (e) recommended periods of isolation of bees in hives.
