Regional Resolution No. 478-p validating the State Program "Sustainable development of indigenous peoples of the North."

Goals of the state program: 1) development of traditional economic activities and traditional use of natural resources; 2) social and cultural development of indigenous peoples of the North, training of professional personnel, development of traditional culture, sports and native languages of indigenous peoples of the North.
Objectives of the state program: 1) creating conditions for the preservation and development of traditional economic activities and the traditional way of life of indigenous peoples of the North; 2) improving the quality of life of indigenous peoples of the North; 3) development of traditional culture, increasing the level and quality of professional training of indigenous peoples of the North.
Subprogram 1 "Development of traditional economic activities of indigenous peoples of the North and increasing the level of their adaptation to modern economic conditions, taking into account the protection of the original habitat and traditional way of life" includes measures for state support of legal entities and natural persons from among indigenous peoples leading a traditional way of life and carrying out traditional economic activities and the implementation of veterinary measures in reindeer herders' farms, including microchipping of reindeers.
Subprogram 2 "Promoting the development of traditional culture, folklore and national crafts, improving the standard of living and education of indigenous peoples of the North" includes ensuring access to education for indigenous peoples; preservation, development and popularization of traditional culture, folklore, traditions, language, national sports and international relations, national arts and crafts.
