Resolution No. 267 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating the Procedure for testing varieties and hybrids of agricultural crops, including varieties and hybrids of agricultural crops that are scientific and (or) scientific and technical products, for economically useful characteristics and (or) properties of agricultural crops, as well as forms of questionnaires for varieties or hybrids of agricultural crops, descriptions of varieties or hybrids of agricultural crops and test results.

This Procedure establishes the rules for testing varieties and hybrids of agricultural plants to identify economically useful traits and (or) properties of agricultural plants, including distinctiveness, homogeneity and stability, suitability for specific regions of approval (light zone), provided for in Annexes No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, for the purpose of entering information on varieties and hybrids of agricultural plants in the State Register of Varieties and Hybrids of Agricultural Plants Approved for Use. The organization and conduct of the Tests shall be carried out by an authorized federal state budgetary institution subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Tests of varieties and hybrids of agricultural plants, the genera and species of which are included in the List and which are imported into the Russian Federation from foreign states that are members of the Eurasian Economic Union, shall be carried out on variety testing sites of the state institution at the expense of the federal budget of the Russian Federation. Testing of varieties and hybrids of agricultural plants imported into the Russian Federation from foreign countries that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as varieties and hybrids of agricultural plants whose genera and species are not included in the List, is carried out on variety testing sites of a state institution and (or) the applicant at the expense of the applicant.
