Resolution No. 677 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating Veterinary rules for the collection, storage, movement, disposal and destruction of biological waste.

Veterinary rules for the collection, storage, movement, disposal and destruction of biological waste establish mandatory requirements for organizations and citizens for the collection, storage, movement, disposal and destruction of biological waste, with the exception of biological waste related to radioactive waste. Collection of biological waste is carried out at the places of their generation or detection. Collection, storage of biological waste and their movement to places of storage, disposal or destruction must be carried out using closed containers that prevent spillage, leakage of biological waste. When using biological waste containers, due to their design characteristics: (a) direct contact of the contents of such containers with the environment must not be allowed; (b) protection of the biological waste container from spontaneous opening and penetration of animals into them must be ensured; (c) resistance to cleaning, washing and disinfection processes, the effects of detergents and disinfectants (in case of repeated use of biological waste containers) must be ensured. Reuse of disposable biological waste containers is not allowed. Biological waste containers in the form of packages, sacks must be filled no more than 3/4 of their volume. For collection, storage, movement of biological waste obtained from animals for which, based on the results of the conducted research, a decision has been made to send the meat and slaughter (hunting) products of animals for destruction, and (or) which are infected with pathogens of dangerous animal diseases, biological waste containers with the inscription particularly hazardous biological waste must be used. Disposal of particularly hazardous biological waste is not allowed. It is not permitted to transport biological waste in the same vehicle together with other cargo.
