Abstract
These Veterinary Rules establish prophylactic, diagnostic, restrictive and others measures, establishment and cancellation of quarantine and other restrictions aimed at preventing the spread and liquidation of foci of brucellosis (including infectious epididymitis of sheep), establish mandatory requirements for the implementation of preventive, diagnostic, restrictive and other measures, the establishment and cancellation of quarantine and other restrictions on the territory of the Russian Federation aimed at preventing the spread and liquidation of brucellosis foci (including infectious epididymitis of sheep). In order to prevent the occurrence and spread of brucellosis (including infectious epididymitis of rams), individuals and legal entities, owners (keepers) of susceptible animals are obliged to: (a) provide, at the request of authorized specialists of bodies and organizations included in the State Veterinary Service system, access to susceptible animals for inspection; (b) notify within 24 hours by any available means (including by e-mail (if available), personal message) specialists of the state veterinary service of all cases of sudden death or simultaneous mass disease of susceptible animals, as well as of their unusual behavior indicating a possible disease; (c) to take measures to isolate susceptible animals in relation to which there are grounds for suspecting brucellosis; (d) to comply with the requirements of state veterinary service specialists on the implementation of anti-epizootic and other measures provided for by these Veterinary Rules in households (including private subsidiary farms), peasant (farm) households, households of individual entrepreneurs, in organizations where susceptible animals are kept; (d) to comply with the conditions, prohibitions, restrictions in connection with the status of the region in which the farm is located, established by the decision of the federal executive body in the field of veterinary supervision on regionalization for brucellosis in cattle, brucellosis in sheep and goats (including epididymitis in rams), brucellosis in deer, brucellosis in swine; (e) do not allow the mixing of susceptible animals from different herds, flocks, groups during their grazing and watering; and (f) do not allow mixing on farms of species vaccinated and non-vaccinated against brucellosis (including infectious epididymitis in sheep) of susceptible animals, with the exception of susceptible animals vaccinated with brucellosis vaccines containing the R form of the antigen.
