Abstract
This Law is governing the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), and primarily focuses on establishing a robust legal framework for the RDB's operations, mission, and governance. It aims to enhance Rwanda's economic growth through strategic investment promotion, tourism development, and the facilitation of privatization activities. This law is set against the backdrop of Rwanda's broader development goals, aligning with national policies aimed at fostering a conducive environment for both local and foreign investments, thereby driving sustainable economic progress. The implementation plan outlined in the law emphasizes the RDB's autonomy in administrative, financial, and human resource management. It mandates the RDB to develop a strategic vision and action plan, which will be monitored through a structured evaluation of its performance. The law also stipulates the approval of internal regulations, organizational structures, and budget proposals, ensuring that the RDB operates efficiently and transparently. Secondary themes include the RDB's role in promoting exports and enhancing the tourism sector, which are critical for diversifying Rwanda's economy. The Law consists of 35 Articles.
