Abstract
This Order is made under the Agricultural Quarantine Act to regulate the granting of licences for the importation of animals, plants and substances or other material that may be the carrier of plant or animal pests and diseases, to prescribe procedures and conditions of importation of various items and to regulate the incineration or treatment of items that are infected or harmful. An inspector appointed under the Act may issue licences in the Forms A, B, C and D set out in Schedule I to this Act subject to such conditions (including conditions as to quarantine, testing and treating) as the inspector may deem appropriate in respect of a particular import. The importer shall produce a phytosanitary certificate in the form of the specimen appended to the International Plant Protection Convention of Rome of 1951.
