Assignment of Responsibility to the Minister for Fisheries and Marine Resources 2011 (L.N. No. 125 of 2011).

This Legal Notice of the Governor-General, made under section 37 of the Constitution, assigns responsibility for the administration of the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources and for the conduct of the business of the Government of Solomon Islands in respect to matters as specified in the Schedule to the Minister for Fisheries and Marine Resources. Duties of the Minister concern, among other things: fisheries and marine resources and development, aquaculture and mariculture development, fishery research and extension services, fishery licensing, aquarium fish marketing and development, marine product processing and marketing, and the Fisheries Advisory Council.
