Assignment of Responsibility to the Minister for Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification 2011 (L.N. No. 122 of 2011).

This Legal Notice of the Governor-General, made under section 37 of the Constitution, assigns responsibility for the administration of the Ministry of Mines, and Energy and for the conduct of the business of the Government of Solomon Islands in respect to matters as specified in the Schedule to the Minister for Mines, and Energy. Duties of the Minister concern, among other things: mines, and energy; energy development; mineral exploration and the Solomon Islands Water Authority, the Minerals Board and the Petroleum Advisory Board.
