Abstract
This Act gives powers to the Prime Minister to declare closed districts in land and marine areas of the Solomon Islands and requires persons wishing to enter a closed district to obtain a permit from the Prime Minister.
The Act shall not apply a person resident within the closed district or a vessel used exclusively within the closed district. The seaward boundary of any closed district shall be deemed to be a line running parallel with the coast at a distance of three nautical miles to seaward of low water mark. The Prime Minister may attach conditions to a permit to enter a closed district.
